What Will Be My Most Romantic Disease

What Will Be My Most Romantic Disease, takes a scene from the television program, Friends, featuring a cameo role of a Navy man played by Charlie Sheen and the character Phoebe. In this scene they are reunited, albeit briefly, while he is New York City. The possible joy of their reunification is destroyed due to disease and illness, their desire to engage with one another sexually in this moment is negated by fear of transmission.

In this video performance, I am recast as both characters, as potential transmitter and carrier, and we re-imagine this scene not for the hetero-normative audience it was originally intended, but instead for the homosexual male body in a post-AIDS crisis America.
